Aluminum can be extruded to tight dimensional tolerances providing near-net shape design capability. With the near-net shape design capability, highly complex and intergral shapes can be designed, often replacing multiple component parts necessary with other materials. The near net design feature also reduces scrap generation during the fabrication process. The scrap generated is totally recyclable contributing to the overall cost effectiveness of aluminum extrusions.
